Pegging
Boundary reinstatement
Re-establishing and marking your boundary corners for a new fence, building close to the boundary, or a disagreement with a neighbour. Pegs can be offset if required.
Boundary surveys
Building a fence? Can’t find your boundary pegs? Planning to build close to the line? Our licensed cadastral surveyors define, mark and record your boundaries, properly lodged with LINZ.

01Why it matters
A boundary survey accurately defines the limits of a property so ownership is clearly set out. That precision matters most when you build, fence or landscape near the line, and it helps you avoid disputes with neighbours and costly arguments over encroachment.
When you buy, sell or develop, a boundary survey confirms the property matches its legal description, so the transaction rests on verified information.
02Survey types
Pegging
Re-establishing and marking your boundary corners for a new fence, building close to the boundary, or a disagreement with a neighbour. Pegs can be offset if required.
Redefinition
Where original marks are decades old or the landscape has changed, we identify the original boundaries from survey evidence and install new pegs.
Subdivision
Whether you are splitting a backyard or a ten-lot investment, we set out clear, compliant boundary lines for every new lot.

03Worth knowing
Some surveyors place boundary pegs without recording them with Land Information New Zealand. Under the Cadastral Surveys Act 2010, a Boundary Reinstatement Survey Plan must be filed with LINZ so it becomes public record. We follow that process on every job, and it is what makes the result defensible.
04HIRB
HIRB rules make sure new buildings don’t unreasonably block sunlight or daylight to neighbours. Calculations from a licensed cadastral surveyor are needed in building plans before construction reaches the foundation stage.
For subdivisions involving existing buildings, HIRB calculations confirm the proposed boundaries won’t create infringements. We survey the exact boundary position and determine how close, and how high, a building can be.
